Children Ministries

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the Truth.”  -3 John1:4

Journey Kids is our children’s ministry for ages 2 through 5th grade. Children begin the service in the sanctuary and then are dismissed to their classes during the worship time. On the fifth Sunday of each month, as well as on special occasions, children stay with their family for the service.

We desire for children to recognize that they are on a very valuable journey of growing in their relationship with Jesus.

Our heart is that all of our children would

• be taught the Word of God
• experience the presence of Jesus
• come to know God as their loving Father
• and be filled with the power of the Spirit to fulfill their purpose as children of God

The mission of our Nursery Program is to provide a safe, caring, and loving environment for young children in order that their families can be refreshed and renewed through worship and teaching. We want to share the love of Christ through smiles, voices, and attention to every child, while gently and consistently providing for their needs. We value open and honest communication with all parents and staff.

The nursery includes:

• Infant/Walking Room – Chilren from birth to 18 months.  A simple snack is served.
• Toddler Room – Children 18 months to 24 months.  This room includes a Bible story, songs, craft, snack and structured play time.

Each Nursery Room is led by an adult with a teenage helper (over 13 years old).

All Nursery Staff have completed Safe Church requirements, had background checks, and attended staff training sessions.
